新野圭二郎　Keijiro Niino

1975年愛知県生まれ。名古屋市郊外の、豊かな自然や緑に囲まれた田舎にて幼少期を過ごす。中学高校は、浄土宗知恩院派が創立した私立東海中学・東海高校にて学ぶ。卒業生には、哲学者の梅原猛や、メタボリズム理論の建築家黒川紀章などがいる。
日本大学で建築・地域共生デザイン、また桑沢デザイン研究所で空間デザインを学ぶ。桑沢デザイン時代にデザイナー山本耀司と出会い、ヨーロッパ行きを奨められ、卒業後に渡欧する。ロンドンやベルリンでの現代アートシーンに衝撃を受け、帰国後に作品制作を本格に開始させる。
04年、ひきこもり男性の部屋と本人を展示会場に移設し再構築した「高野氏にまつわる再構築プロジェクト」07年、都市の空き地に掘られた穴の中に男が3日間入り続けるアクション「男は、丸3日間穴に入る事を決意する.」など話題性のある作品を多数発表。また、同07年、2016年東京オリンピック開会式／閉会式プロポーザル案「世界同時共鳴プロジェクト」発表以降は、地球規模のビジョンを提示するプロジェクトを発案、プロポーザルを多数制作し、発表を継続させている。

Born in Aichi, 1975. Niino spent his youth in the peaceful suburb of Nagoya city, surrounded by the abundant nature and greenery. He attended to the Tokai Elementary and Junior High school, where one of the major Buddhist sects, Jyodo syu Chionn ha had founded. Important cultural figures in Japan had graduated from the School such as Takeshi Umehara, one of the major philosophers in Japan, and Kisho Kurokawa, the leading figure of the Metabolisms, the radical architectural movement during the 60's. He studied the Architecture and Community Design in Nihon Univrsity, as well as the Spatial Design in the Kurosawa Institution of the Design. During the collage, he had a drastic encounter to Yoji Yamamoto, the top runner of the Japanese fashion design, which decided him to expand his visions in Europe after the school. Having the shocking confrontations to the contemporary art in London and Berlin, he returned to Tokyo where he started his true art practices. Since then, he has shown various controversial works such as "Reconstruction Project with Mr. Takano" in 2004, an installation work in which NEET male himself and his real room were transported and reconstructed into a gallery, and "A Guy Who Decided to Stay In the Hole For 3 Days" in 2007, a happening work, in which, literarily, one male was arranged to stay in the ground of a void space in the middle of Tokyo for three days. These works gained broad public attentions from various fields. After he had shown an epic proposal for the Opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympic in 2016, "World Harmonize Project", recently he turns his gear into making multi worldwide scale proposals as his art practices.
